Zong Wins Four AI Awards at Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2026 in Singapore

Zong AI awards 2026: four wins at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards

Zong has won four awards in the Telecommunication category at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2026, held in Singapore on 20 October 2026. The Zong AI awards span brand, technology, consumer service and financial innovation — from an AI-made 5G launch campaign to a self-healing network platform built entirely in-house, a family sharing package and a digital commission system for dealers.

The Zong AI awards 2026 wins show that Pakistan’s largest telecom operator is weaving artificial intelligence into almost every layer of its business, and regional judges are taking notice. Earlier in October, Zong collected two more honours at the Asian Experience Awards in Singapore, taking its regional award tally to six in a single month — an unusual run for any telecom in South Asia.

What the four Zong AI awards cover

Each award recognised a different part of the company:

1. Brand Innovation of the Year (Pakistan). Zong won for its AI-powered 5G launch campaign, “AIsa Hai Future”, which blended artificial and augmented intelligence with Pakistani creativity to reimagine the country’s digital future. The campaign positioned AI as both the creative medium and the central message — Zong used AI to make the advertisement, not merely talk about AI in it.

2. Technology Innovation of the Year (Pakistan). The most technically significant win went to Zong’s AI-driven Self-Intelligent Radio Access Network (RAN) Optimization platform, developed in-house. The platform autonomously detects network congestion, identifies and implements corrective actions, and then verifies the outcome — all without a human engineer stepping in. The RAN is the part of a mobile network that connects a phone to the tower; when it is congested, calls drop and data slows. Zong’s system spots the problem, fixes it and checks whether the fix worked, improving network responsiveness during periods of high demand.

3. Consumer Service Innovation of the Year (Pakistan). The “My5 Family Sharing Package” won for flexible family connectivity bundled with value-added benefits including insurance coverage, lifestyle perks and digital streaming services. Designed around how Pakistani households actually connect, My5 lets families share one pool of data and minutes through the My Zong app, cutting both cost and complexity compared with juggling separate SIM bills — an alternative to traditional home broadband for many families.

4. Financial Innovation of the Year (Pakistan). DI-CAPE, Zong’s digital commission governance platform, won for bringing transparency and efficiency to how the company pays its dealers and sales partners. It is a back-end system rather than a consumer product, but moving commission management onto a digital platform reduces errors, removes delays and gives partners a clear view of what they are owed.

In-house AI: the self-intelligent network platform

The standout achievement of the Zong AI awards 2026 is the RAN Optimization platform, because it was developed entirely in-house. Many Pakistani telecom operators rely on vendor-supplied software for network intelligence; building an AI-driven network tool of your own and having it recognised at a regional awards event in Singapore is a different level of achievement.

Through sustained investment in 5G, AI, digital platforms and in-house technical capability, Zong is translating technology leadership into smarter networks and more efficient operations.

Six regional honours in one month

The Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2026 are not Zong’s only recent international recognition. Earlier in October 2026, the operator won two awards at the Asian Experience Awards in Singapore: the My5 Family Sharing Package Campaign was named Pakistan Brand Experience of the Year, and the My Zong App Campaign won Pakistan Digital Experience of the Year. Zong said it is the first Pakistani brand to receive recognition at those regional awards.

Adding the Zong AI awards 2026 haul, the company has collected six regional honours in one month. For Pakistani technology watchers, the bigger story behind the Zong AI awards 2026 is what this says about local engineering talent: an in-house AI platform, recognised internationally, proves Pakistan can build world-class network technology rather than just consuming it. That matters for the country’s broader ambitions in the technology sector, where ICT services exports continue to grow even as the industry faces new pressures.

Why it matters for Pakistani mobile users

The Zong AI awards 2026 haul will not lower a mobile bill overnight, but it signals where investment is heading. When a telco wins for autonomous network optimization, it means fewer dropped calls in the coming months. When it wins for a family package, that bundle is likely to gain features rather than quietly disappear. And when a back-end commission system wins for transparency, dealers get paid correctly — keeping distribution networks healthy and connectivity reaching more parts of the country.

Pakistan’s 5G rollout is still in its early stages, and the infrastructure growth and the AI tools Zong is building are directly connected: smarter networks make rollouts faster and cheaper to run. With AI moving from marketing buzzword to operational tool inside the network itself, Zong’s award run marks the moment Pakistan’s telecom industry started being judged on the technology it builds — not just the technology it buys.
