Redmi K100 Launch Date Confirmed: 28 October in China

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the Redmi K100 launch date: the new flagship killer will debut in China on 28 October 2026, completing the K100 series lineup. The announcement came through an official Weibo post, and pre-orders are already open in China ahead of the unveiling.
The phone arrives a couple of months after its siblings — the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which launched in China in August with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips, 185Hz AMOLED displays and batteries of up to 9,070mAh. The standard model now fills out the family with its own headline act: a battery that crosses the 10,000mAh mark. Alongside the handset, Xiaomi will also introduce the Redmi Clip Neo open-ear earphones at the same event. International availability has not been announced yet, but following Xiaomi’s usual strategy, the device is widely expected to reach India and global markets under the POCO brand as the POCO F9.
10,000mAh Battery With 100W Fast Charging

The standout specification is the battery. Xiaomi’s new phone packs a massive 10,000mAh+ silicon-carbon battery — larger than the 8,580mAh cell in the K100 Pro and the 9,070mAh unit in the Pro Max. It is the company’s first standard K-series model to cross into 10,000mAh-class territory, promising genuine multi-day endurance for heavy users.
Big batteries are only half the story; refilling them matters just as much. According to 3C regulatory certification listings, the handset supports 100W wired fast charging, so even a 10,000mAh cell should top up far quicker than its size suggests. Silicon-carbon chemistry is what makes this combination possible — it stores more energy in the same physical space as older lithium designs, which is why 2026 flagships keep pushing past the 8,000mAh and 9,000mAh marks.
For buyers in Pakistan, where load-shedding and long travel days are facts of life, a 10,000mAh phone is more than a spec-sheet flex — it is the difference between carrying a power bank and leaving it at home. If this device reaches Pakistan at a competitive price, battery life alone will sell it.
Snapdragon 8 Elite and 185Hz Display for Gamers

Under the hood, the phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with Xiaomi’s own D2 display chip. The 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers true flagship-class performance — the same tier of silicon found in phones costing far more — while the dedicated D2 chip handles display processing, a first for a standard K-series device.
The display is built for gaming: a large 6.9-inch flat OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a blistering 185Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi says the handset will support high refresh rates in more than 40 games, and the panel also carries an embedded 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. For mobile gamers, the specifications read like a wishlist — flagship power, an ultra-smooth screen and a battery that will outlast the longest sessions. The phone will run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 out of the box, bringing the latest software features and AI tools to the K series from day one.
Bose Speakers, IP68 Rating and Firefly Green Design

Xiaomi is also pushing audio as a highlight of the new phone. It carries symmetrical dual stereo speakers co-engineered with Bose, aimed at richer sound for gaming and media — a notable step up for a series that has traditionally treated speakers as an afterthought.
Durability gets attention too. The handset features a solid metal frame and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a combination rarely seen at this end of the market. Xiaomi has also shown it in a new Firefly Green colour, giving the device a distinct identity next to the usual black-and-white options. A big circular speaker grille on the rear underscores how seriously Xiaomi is taking the audio story this generation.
Taken together — metal build, proper water resistance, tuned speakers — it looks and feels more premium than its price bracket suggests, which has always been the K series’ core trick.
Redmi K100 Price and What It Means for Pakistan

The expected price starts at around CNY 3,199 to CNY 3,499 in China (roughly $450) for the base 12GB/256GB configuration, according to industry reports. At that level, Xiaomi’s new flagship killer would undercut most Snapdragon 8 Elite rivals by a wide margin while offering a bigger battery and a faster display than many of them.
There is no confirmed Pakistan launch date yet, and Xiaomi has not announced global pricing. But the signs are encouraging: the K series has historically reached Pakistan, and a global POCO-branded version (expected as the POCO F9) would almost certainly follow the China debut. With PTA taxes and import costs, expect the local price to sit well above the China figure — but the formula of flagship chip, 10,000mAh battery and 185Hz screen at a mid-range price is exactly what Pakistani buyers respond to.
The 28 October launch event will fill in the remaining blanks — cameras, final pricing and regional availability. On paper, though, the Redmi K100 already looks like one of the most complete packages of 2026.
