Paklaunch UNConference 26.2 New York: Pakistani Founders Meet 80 Global Investors at the Yale Club

Paklaunch’s flagship UNConference series made its New York debut this week, as Paklaunch UNConference 26.2 brought Pakistani startup founders and global investors together at the Yale Club of New York City on October 19–20, 2026. The eighth edition of the series — and its first ever in New York — gathered a carefully curated room of just 120 participants: 80 global investors and 40 top startup founders, for two days of high-trust conversations, pitch clinics and deal-making in the heart of Manhattan.

Abhi, the fintech company focused on embedded credit solutions across emerging markets, powered the New York edition as strategic partner. Previous editions of the UNConference were held in Palo Alto, Dubai, London, Riyadh and Islamabad since the series began in 2020 — the Yale Club gathering is the series’ first in a top global financial capital.

What Is the Paklaunch UNConference?

Paklaunch was founded by Aly Fahd in San Francisco on April 29, 2020, with a single mission: connecting Pakistani founders with global capital, mentorship and networks. From a small community, it has grown into a global bridge for Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Paklaunch says its community now spans 500,000+ members across 550+ events and 40+ partners, claims $130M+ in funding enabled, and $2M+ raised for charities.

The UNConference — the format behind Paklaunch UNConference 26.2 — is Paklaunch’s flagship: deliberately small, deliberately curated, and deliberately short on scripted presentations. Attendance is strictly capped at 120 participants — no spectators, only participants — so that, in Paklaunch’s words, “the people building, backing and shaping Pakistan’s startup ecosystem come together in a meaningful way.”

Who Was in the Room at Paklaunch UNConference 26.2?

The New York guest list read like a who’s who of Pakistan’s startup and investment world. Aatif Awan, founder and managing partner of Indus Valley Capital, said the UNConference had become “a unique event where the people building, backing and shaping Pakistan’s startup ecosystem come together in a meaningful way,” adding that he was excited to see the community gather in New York to build stronger bridges between Pakistan’s founders and the global tech and investment ecosystem.

Jerjees Seja, CEO of ARY Networks, said the value of the UNConference lay in its conversations: “Growth often comes from directions you didn’t plan for. When like-minded people come together, you begin to see potential in other businesses and ways your strengths can complement theirs. We’ve seen conversations like these turn into real business partnerships.”

Other confirmed participants included Tallat M. Shafaat, founder and CEO of Vectara — the enterprise AI firm that pioneered Retrieval-Augmented Generation, who spent seven years at Google and is a GIKI alumnus; Danish Lakhani, co-founder and CEO of NayaPay and CYBERNET (NayaPay raised $13M in seed funding); Khalil Usmani, CEO of JS Global Capital; and Ali Afridi, partner at Equal Ventures.

Inside the Two-Day Agenda of Paklaunch UNConference 26.2

The programme opened with a welcome dinner on Monday, October 19 (6–10pm), before the main event on Tuesday, October 20 (9am–5pm) at the Yale Club’s Midtown Manhattan clubhouse at 50 Vanderbilt Avenue. Rather than keynote-heavy schedules, the agenda centred on peer-to-peer breakout rooms, pitch clinics, investor speed-networking and closed-door leadership sessions.

Sessions also spotlighted ecosystem initiatives — a women-entrepreneurs accelerator, Bazaar on ARY, the PALS leadership programme and Pakistan’s semiconductor policy — a sign the tech conversation is widening beyond software into deep tech.

Why New York Matters for Pakistani Startups

New York puts Pakistani founders directly in front of the investors who write the cheques, in the world’s top financial capital. The timing is notable: Pakistan’s startup scene has had a busy October, from the YES-Pakistan 2026 startup programme at Bahria University Islamabad, where more than 290 startup ideas competed, to SRC-UCP’s deep-tech win at SEE Pakistan 2026, alongside the Pak–US Tech Connect 2026 roadshow taking Pakistani technology companies across American cities.

The Paklaunch UNConference 26.2 New York edition adds a founder-led, investor-focused layer to that momentum — a room designed for the conversations that turn into customers, partnerships and investments, rather than the stage presentations that end when the applause does.

What the New York Debut Signals

Taking Paklaunch UNConference 26.2 to New York for the first time — with 80 global investors in a single room at the Yale Club — signals how far the ambitions of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem have travelled since Paklaunch began in 2020. For the 40 founders in the room, the value was the format itself: two days, one community, and what Paklaunch calls “endless opportunities” — relationships that become customers, partnerships and investments.
