Pakistan Tech Summit Oslo 2026: 70 Delegates Take Pakistan’s Startup Push to Norway

OSLO: Around 70 Pakistani entrepreneurs and technology leaders are in Oslo today for the 16th Pakistan Tech Summit, the largest delegation organiser Ejad Labs has ever taken to Norway. The summit takes place at Dattera til Hagen in Oslo during Oslo Innovation Week, marking the second leg of a back-to-back international push that began in San Francisco earlier this month.

The Pakistan Tech Summit Oslo edition follows the 15th edition of the summit held in San Francisco, where more than 50 Pakistani entrepreneurs and tech leaders met Silicon Valley investors, founders and Pakistani-American professionals during San Francisco Tech Week. The Oslo stop signals that Pakistan’s startup ecosystem is building a regular pipeline of global engagement rather than relying on one-off trade missions.

From San Francisco to Oslo: A Back-to-Back Global Push

The Pakistan Tech Summit Oslo 2026 summit is part of Ejad Labs’ Pak-US Tech Exchange Programme, under which the delegation visited the United States from October 5 to 18. In San Francisco, the 15th edition was hosted at Saluhall SF on Market Street, connecting Pakistani companies with US partners, investors and customers as well as the Bay Area’s Pakistani diaspora.

The San Francisco programme featured an artificial intelligence session with Kashif Ali, founder and CEO of TaxGPT (Y Combinator S24); Sahar Arshad, founder and CEO of OnVibe, an LG spin-off (Y Combinator W15); Kareema Batool, an AI engineer at Microsoft; and Saniya Vardak, a growth marketer and investor. A networking session followed, with delegates discussing partnerships and investment in AI, fintech and cloud services — the sectors where Pakistan’s strongest founders are already building.

Ejad Labs co-founder Mehroz Azam said the delegation’s goal was commercial, not ceremonial. “Our delegates came to San Francisco for customers, partners and investors, not photo opportunities,” he said. “Fifteen editions in, Pakistani founders are building alongside Silicon Valley, not just visiting it.”

Why Oslo Matters for Pakistani Startups

Nordic investors and companies are increasingly interested in emerging-market technology, and Oslo adds a different type of investor relationship to what was built in San Francisco. The Pakistan Tech Summit Oslo gathering puts Pakistani founders directly in front of Scandinavian venture capital and corporate partners during Oslo Innovation Week — one of the region’s flagship innovation events.

The back-to-back San Francisco–Oslo schedule shows how these summits have evolved into a regular pipeline. Pakistani founders who attend multiple editions are building real relationships over time rather than arriving cold, and standing networks such as OPEN Silicon Valley — a community of Pakistani entrepreneurs and investors in the Bay Area — help founders maintain connections between summits.

The Funding Gap These Summits Are Trying to Close

The timing of the Pakistan Tech Summit Oslo mission matters because Pakistan’s startup funding story in 2026 is complicated. Pakistani startups have raised $133.7 million across 10 deals so far this year, but excluding one large deal (Fasset), they raised only around $6.7 million during the third quarter — highlighting a continued shortage of early-stage capital.

Accessing early-stage US investors remains difficult for founders without a US address or customer base, and American investors often prefer companies registered in the United States — a practical restructuring step that delegates can learn to navigate through direct conversations at these summits. The ambition behind the Pakistan Tech Summit Oslo and its San Francisco predecessor is to convert visibility into revenue and investment, not just photo opportunities.

Policy Tailwinds Behind Pakistan’s Tech Push

Pakistan’s digital economy is valued at over $36 billion, and more than 30,000 new software engineers join the workforce every year — the talent base these delegations are trying to connect with global capital and customers.

On the policy side, the government has partnered with Silicon Valley’s Plug and Play Tech Center to establish operations in Pakistan, with a signed Letter of Intent laying the foundation for proposed offices in Islamabad and Karachi. The initiative aims to accelerate up to 300 startups from Pakistan’s leading universities and connect Pakistani entrepreneurs with more than 600 global corporate partners. Tax reform is also helping: the Finance Bill 2026 introduced targeted reforms including pass-through tax treatment for venture capital funds, which the Ignite National Technology Fund has highlighted as a signal that the government is serious about building a startup-friendly environment.

What to Watch From the Oslo Edition

The Pakistan Tech Summit Oslo 2026 edition will test whether Pakistani founders can replicate in the Nordic market what the San Francisco leg aimed to achieve in Silicon Valley: direct commercial contracts, enterprise partnerships and early-stage investment. With 70 delegates — the largest Ejad Labs group to travel to Oslo — and Oslo Innovation Week providing a ready audience of Nordic investors, the summit is Pakistan’s biggest technology outreach to Scandinavia to date.
