Wahaj Ali 2026: Dramas and Latest News
Wahaj Ali is having one of the most consequential years of his career in 2026, starring opposite Mahira Khan in Green Entertainment’s blockbuster Mitti De Baway while anticipation builds for the long-awaited Tere Bin Season 2. Few actors in Pakistan have matched his run of hits over the past three years, and 2026 has only strengthened his position at the top.
Wahaj Ali 2026 Drama: Mitti De Baway Dominates
The centrepiece of Wahaj Ali’s 2026 is Mitti De Baway, airing on Green TV every Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 PM. He plays Iqbal Channan, known as Baala — a dhol player from Mitranawali whose ill-fated love for Bano, played by Mahira Khan, spans decades of separation, betrayal and reunion. The seventh episode aired on 14 October 2026, and the show has become one of the most-watched dramas of the season.
For Wahaj Ali, the role demanded a striking transformation: Baala returns after years in prison tougher, leaner and more dangerous, and the performance has drawn particular praise from critics. Written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, the drama marks the first on-screen pairing of Wahaj Ali and Mahira Khan — a casting coup that generated enormous pre-release buzz. Set in the heart of Punjab, the saga follows Bano and Baala from their youth in 1998 through marriage, family conflict and the return of an old enemy.
Tere Bin Season 2: The Wait Continues
He is also expected to reprise his career-defining role as Murtasim in Tere Bin Season 2 opposite Yumna Zaidi. The sequel to the 2023 blockbuster, which amassed billions of views worldwide, has been officially announced by Geo TV’s 7th Sky Entertainment, with Siraj ul Haq attached to direct. Reports indicate shooting was scheduled for 2026, and teasers have begun circulating — though viewers are advised to await official confirmation of the premiere date from the makers.
From Tere Bin to Stardom
His rise began with scene-stealing supporting roles before Tere Bin (2023) made him a superstar as the brooding Murtasim. He followed it with the hit Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha and the acclaimed Fitoor, proving his range across romantic and intense characters. His pairing with Yumna Zaidi remains one of the most beloved on-screen couples in Pakistani drama history. Coverage of the new serial is available via The Other Business News and Filmibeat, alongside our profiles of Mahira Khan’s 2026 projects and his best dramas ranked.
The Wahaj Ali Phenomenon
His rise to the top of the industry has been one of the most remarkable stories in recent Pakistani showbiz. Fan clubs dedicated to him trend hashtags with every episode of his dramas, and his on-screen pairing with Yumna Zaidi spawned one of the most devoted fan followings — nicknamed “YumHaj” — in the history of Pakistani television. Clips of his performances routinely cross millions of views within days of upload.
Critics attribute his success to a rare combination: classic leading-man looks paired with an ability to convey vulnerability. He has managed the difficult transition from television heartthrob to serious actor without losing his mass appeal, and his choice of scripts — from the period-tinged intensity of Mitti De Baway to the modern romance of Tere Bin — shows an actor thinking carefully about longevity. With two major projects in play, 2026 may well be remembered as his biggest year yet.
His appeal cuts across demographics in a way few stars manage. Older viewers admire his command of classic dramatic acting, while younger audiences connect with his social-media-savvy persona and contemporary style. That dual appeal is gold for advertisers, and he counts some of the country’s biggest brands among his endorsements.
Behind the scenes, collaborators describe a professional who arrives prepared and treats every crew member with respect — qualities that have made directors eager to work with him repeatedly. As Mitti De Baway heads toward its climax and Tere Bin Season 2 looms, his calendar is the most in-demand in the business.
