Mahira Khan 2026: Dramas, Films and Latest News
Mahira Khan is set to dominate 2026 on every screen that matters — cinemas, television and streaming. The “Queen of Lollywood” finally reunited with Fawad Khan in Neelofar, headlines an Eid ul Fitr release opposite Fahad Mustafa, pairs with Wahaj Ali for the first time on television, and leads Pakistan’s first Netflix original series. Here is the complete guide to her 2026: dramas, films and latest news.
Mahira Khan Films: Neelofar and Aag Lage Basti Mein
The most emotional Mahira Khan project of recent years is Neelofar, the Ammar Rasool romantic drama in which she plays a visually impaired young woman opposite Fawad Khan’s writer Mansoor Ali Khan. She spent time with visually impaired girls to bring authenticity to the role, telling the media it was the first time she had played a blind character — and the first time she had two films releasing in a single year. As The Frontier Post reported, the film’s trailer sparked intense anticipation among fans of the iconic Humsafar pairing. Her next big-screen outing is Aag Lage Basti Mein, releasing on Eid ul Fitr 2026, which reunites her with Fahad Mustafa nearly four years after Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad; the Nabeel Qureshi directorial is produced by Filmwala Pictures.
On Television: Mitti De Baway and Woh Ek Raat
On television, Mahira Khan headlines one of 2026’s most awaited dramas: Mitti De Baway on Green Entertainment, her first-ever on-screen pairing with Wahaj Ali. The project has generated enormous pre-release buzz as two of the industry’s biggest stars share the screen for the first time — see our Mitti De Baway drama guide for cast and story details. She also stars opposite Wahaj Ali in Woh Ek Raat, an upcoming telefilm written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Shehzad Kashmiri. On Netflix: Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo
Mahira Khan plays Rahat in Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, Pakistan’s first Netflix original series, starring alongside Fawad Khan, Sanam Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahad Raza Mir, Hania Aamir and Maya Ali. The show is expected to premiere in late 2026, though Netflix has yet to announce a date. The project marks a milestone for the industry — and for its leading lady, whose career has consistently broken new ground, from Humsafar to The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022) to Love Guru (2025) opposite Humayun Saeed.
More Projects in the 2026 Pipeline
The Mahira Khan slate continues with Big Bang Entertainment’s first feature film, reuniting her with Fahad Mustafa under director Bilal Atif Khan, with comedian Tabish Hashmi in a significant role. As Newspoint reported, her Eid ul Fitr 2026 weekend alone included four premieres across cinemas and television — Aag Lage Basti Mein in cinemas, plus TV premieres of Neelofar on Hum TV, Love Guru on ARY Digital and The Legend of Maula Jatt on Geo TV. Few stars command that kind of festive footprint.
The Dubai Moment That Moved Fans
During the Dubai promotions of Neelofar, the star was left teary-eyed when co-star Fawad Khan opened up about the difficult phases of recent years in a rare vulnerable moment. “Your words really hit me,” she told him, calling it one of their most challenging films. The exchange, captured on video, went viral — a reminder of the genuine bond behind one of South Asian entertainment’s most beloved pairings. Follow her full career story.
