PTCL Group Financial Results 2026: Revenue Up 62% as Ufone–Telenor Merger Pays Off

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced a strong set of financial results for the nine months ended 30 September 2026, with consolidated revenue climbing 62 per cent year on year. The results, approved at a Board of Directors meeting in Islamabad on 22 October 2026, mark the clearest sign yet that the PTCL Group’s big bet on the Ufone–Telenor amalgamation is paying off.

Consolidated operating profit surged 181 per cent year on year, while net profit for the nine-month period reached Rs4.7 billion. The group said the nine-month PTCL Group financial results for 2026 reflect the benefits of the successful amalgamation, continued operational efficiencies and sustained revenue growth across its fixed, enterprise and mobile businesses.

Nine-month results: the headline numbers

PTCL’s own standalone revenue grew 9 per cent year on year during the period. The increase was powered by a 26 per cent rise in Flash Fiber revenue, 15 per cent growth in Business Solutions, 13 per cent growth in Carrier and Wholesale services, and an 11 per cent increase in international business revenue.

The company posted an operating profit of Rs11 billion and a net profit of Rs3 billion for the nine months — a 343 per cent year-on-year improvement in the bottom line. Taken together, these figures make the PTCL Group financial results 2026 one of the strongest earnings reports Pakistan’s telecom sector has produced this year.

Mobile business jumps 139% after the Ufone–Telenor amalgamation

The standout performer was the mobile business. PTML (Pak Telecom Mobile Limited), which now houses both Ufone and Telenor Pakistan following their successful amalgamation, reported revenue growth of 139 per cent year on year, driven by the consolidation of Telenor Pakistan along with continued growth across the corporate and retail segments.

PTML’s operating profit reached Rs33.5 billion, up 181 per cent year on year, reflecting the positive impact of the amalgamation together with higher revenues and improved operating performance. The PTCL Group financial results 2026 statement also noted that PTML added 1.5 million subscribers during the third quarter, taking its subscriber base to more than 76 million, while expanding its 5G footprint across major cities and progressing network integration across 25 districts.

Looking ahead, PTML said it would prioritise nationwide network consolidation, 5G expansion, network quality, digital capabilities and customer experience to strengthen its competitiveness, alongside family-sharing bundles and new self-service features for subscribers.

Fixed line and enterprise momentum: Flash Fiber, iPhone 18 and business solutions

On the fixed-line side, PTCL continued to push its consumer offerings during the quarter. The company launched a limited-period Azadi Offer bundling 100 Mbps Flash Fiber connectivity with an IPTV set-top box, and partnered with Mercantile, an Apple-authorised distributor, to introduce the iPhone 18 in Pakistan alongside an exclusive Flash Fiber bundle.

The Business Solutions segment kept its momentum on the back of growing demand for ICT services, cloud solutions, on-premises AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, managed services and data centre offerings. PTCL also retained its leadership in submarine connectivity, IP bandwidth and domestic bandwidth services for carrier customers, underlining its role in Pakistan’s digital infrastructure.

The group’s steady investment in cybersecurity capabilities also comes into focus as the industry tightens its defences — a theme also seen in the recent Zero Trust cybersecurity workshop held by Ufone, Telenor Pakistan and the PTA.

Ubank turns a profit and digital-inclusion programmes expand

For investors tracking the PTCL Group financial results 2026, Ubank’s return to operating profit is another encouraging signal — the microfinance arm generated revenue of Rs18.3 billion and reported an operating profit for the period, compared with an operating loss in the corresponding period last year. Its bottom line improved by 84 per cent, signalling a continued recovery.

On the social-impact front, the Ba-Ikhtiar programme saw 2,100 women across 22 districts complete training in digital marketing, e-commerce and digital financial literacy, delivered by U Bank. Beneficiaries received Ufone 5G SIMs with free connectivity and UPaisa wallets, and women entrepreneurs showcased their work at a provincial conference on women’s inclusion in Baluchistan.

PTCL also signed a memorandum of understanding with ConnectHear to deploy SILA, an AI-powered sign-language solution, at selected customer service centres in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, improving accessibility for customers with hearing disabilities. Separately, PTML partnered with the United Nations’ Polio Eradication Initiative, operated by UNICEF through the National Emergency Operations Centre, to provide GSM connectivity to frontline healthcare workers nationwide.

Awards and brand campaigns round off the quarter

Brand building also paid off. PTCL’s “Pakistan Jitna Jawan” Independence Day campaign celebrated the company’s evolution alongside Pakistan over 79 years, and at the Dragons of Pakistan 2026 awards PTCL secured five awards — one Silver, one Bronze and three Black Dragons — for its work across brand marketing and social impact. Ufone and Telenor Pakistan together won nine awards, including two Gold, two Silver and five Black Dragons, for campaigns across marketing, PR, media, digital and content creation.

Taken together, the PTCL Group financial results 2026 underline a decisive turnaround story for Pakistan’s largest telecom group — with the merged mobile giant scaling up, fibre leading fixed-line growth and digital services opening new revenue streams.
