Gold Price in Pakistan Jumps Rs9,600 Per Tola to Rs435,636 as Rally Runs Into a Second Day

Gold buyers in Pakistan faced a second sharp shock in as many days on Thursday. The price of 24-karat gold per tola climbed by another Rs9,600 in a single session, taking the yellow metal past the Rs4.35 lakh mark for the first time in this rally.

According to the rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), a tola of 24-karat gold settled at Rs435,636 on November 5, 2026. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs8,230 to Rs373,487, while silver also moved higher, gaining Rs100 per tola to reach Rs5,763. The figures were reported by Bloom Pakistan’s report on the Rs4.35 lakh close and Abb Takk News on Thursday.

The headline number tells the story: a tola of 24-karat gold now costs Rs435,636, up Rs9,600 from Wednesday’s close. Ten grams of the same purity are priced at Rs373,487 after an Rs8,230 increase, and silver per tola stands at Rs5,763, up Rs100.

Thursday’s rise follows Wednesday’s Rs13,900 surge to Rs426,036, which means gold has now gained Rs23,500 per tola in just two sessions. The back-to-back jumps have pushed the metal well clear of the Rs4.26 lakh level it reached only a day earlier, and far above the Rs412,136 at which it stood when Tuesday’s session closed unchanged.

Why gold keeps climbing

The local surge is tracking a sharp rally in the international market, where gold gained $96 an ounce to reach $4,131. When global bullion prices move that aggressively, Pakistan’s market almost always follows within hours — and Thursday was no exception, with the full force of the international gain reflected in the tola rate the same day.

The pattern is familiar to anyone who has watched the local market this year: international gains pass through to the APGJSA rate quickly, because the association sets its daily benchmark against the global spot price and the interbank exchange rate. A $96 international jump leaves little room for the local rate to stay put, and Thursday’s Rs9,600 move is roughly in line with the size of the global gain.

The latest spike caps a dizzying fortnight for bullion in Pakistan. On October 31, the market suffered the Rs10,800 crash on October 31 — the sharpest single-day drop of the year — dragging the tola rate down to Rs409,736. Prices steadied after that, and Tuesday brought a quiet session with no change at Rs412,136, raising hopes that the worst of the turbulence was over.

Wednesday’s Rs13,900 surge then more than recovered the October 31 losses in a single session, and Thursday’s follow-up gain of Rs9,600 has carried the metal further still. For buyers who held off during the crash, the metal now costs Rs25,900 more per tola than it did at the October 31 low — a reminder of how quickly sentiment can flip in the bullion market, in both directions.

What buyers should keep in mind

For ordinary buyers, the practical takeaway is simple: the APGJSA daily rate is the reference point, but actual shop prices can vary slightly from city to city and jeweller to jeweller, so it pays to check the day’s rate before buying. Making charges and the karat of the ornament also move the final bill well beyond the headline tola figure.

Gold remains one of the most closely watched assets in Pakistan, where it doubles as both jewellery and a household store of value. With international markets still unsettled, jewellers expect the local rate to keep tracking the global trend closely in the coming sessions — and the last two days have shown just how fast that tracking can be.
