Oppo has officially confirmed that its next Reno-series smartphones, the Oppo Reno17 series, will launch in China in November 2026. The announcement came through the company’s official Weibo account, and blind reservations for the new phones are already open on Oppo’s Chinese online store — even though Oppo has not yet revealed an exact launch date, pricing, or official specifications.

Oppo confirms November launch for the Reno17 series
While a recent round of leaks had already pointed to a November unveiling, the timeline is now official. In a post on its Weibo account, Oppo confirmed that the Reno17 series will be announced in China next month, ending weeks of speculation about when the line-up would appear.
Zhang Ruoxing, the Reno series spokesperson, has separately confirmed that the November event will cover three products: the Reno17 series, the Oppo Pad Air 6 tablet, and the Oppo Watch 5 smartwatch. All three are currently available for blind reservation through Oppo’s Chinese store, though the company has shared no technical details about the tablet or the watch yet.
Blind pre-orders — reservations placed before prices or full specifications are known — are a familiar Oppo tactic for generating early buzz, and they suggest the company is confident about demand for the new Reno generation.

Reno17 and Reno17 Pro: the expected line-up
Leaks and tipster reports suggest the Chinese line-up will include two models, the standard Reno17 and the higher-spec Reno17 Pro. Both are expected to ship with Android 17-based ColorOS 17, although Oppo has not officially confirmed the software.
The base Reno17 is tipped to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with a 7,000mAh battery and a triple 50-megapixel camera system. The Reno17 Pro, meanwhile, is expected to step up with a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chip, the same 7,000mAh battery capacity, and a 6.32-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, according to tipster Digital Chat Station.
A global variant reportedly exists as well: the Reno17F is tipped to feature a 6.57-inch OLED display, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Some reports suggest the standard Reno17 could reach India by early January 2027, but no official global timeline has been announced.

Cameras take centre stage again
As always with the Reno line, cameras look set to be the headline act. The Reno17 Pro is rumoured to feature a 200-megapixel primary rear camera with gimbal-style stabilisation, joined by a 50-megapixel ultrawide and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. A 50-megapixel front camera is also expected, underlining the series’ long-standing appeal to selfie and portrait shooters.
Tipster Debayan Roy has added 80W wired charging, a metal frame, and an IP69 dust-and-water-resistance rating to the Pro’s rumoured spec sheet. Tipster Smart Pikachu adds that the series will lean into new live-photo and photo-editing tools built around the 200MP sensors.
A word of caution: every specification above comes from leaks and tipsters rather than Oppo itself, and published leaks do not agree on every detail. Buyers should treat them as informed expectations and wait for Oppo’s official reveal before making any decision.

Blind pre-orders already live in China
Oppo’s online store in China is already accepting blind reservations for the Reno17 series, alongside the Pad Air 6 and Watch 5. Interested buyers can register their interest now, with pricing and full specifications to follow closer to the launch event.
The Oppo Pad Air 6 is expected to feature a new Oppo Notes app with one-tap file transfer, while details of the Watch 5 remain under wraps. Official teasers are expected to ramp up in the coming days as November approaches.

What the Reno17 launch could mean for Pakistan
Oppo has not said anything about availability outside China yet, but the pattern of previous Reno launches suggests a familiar path: China first, then a staggered global rollout — often with India following within weeks and Pakistan and other markets after that.
The Reno series has a loyal following in Pakistan’s mid-range segment, and urdupro.info already tracks Oppo Reno 15 prices in Pakistan along with earlier models. If Oppo follows its usual cadence, Pakistani buyers can expect PTA-approved pricing and availability details to emerge a few weeks after the Chinese launch — at which point the leaked specs can be checked against the official record.
For now, the confirmation itself is the news: Oppo’s November event will be one to watch, not just for the Reno17 and Reno17 Pro, but for the Pad Air 6 and Watch 5 arriving alongside them.
