Endeavor Pakistan Hosts Google’s Hashim Syed for AI Founders Series Session

Endeavor Pakistan brought a Google expert face-to-face with the country’s startup founders on Friday evening, hosting Hashim Syed of Google in the latest session of its AI Founders Series. The founder-focused conversation, held on 30 October 2026 at 6:00 PM Pakistan time (9:00 AM in New York), explored how artificial intelligence is changing the way startups build, operate and grow — and what founders should do about it.

The session was designed for entrepreneurs at every stage, from those validating their first product to teams scaling an established operation. It was followed by an open question-and-answer round, giving participants the chance to put their own challenges directly to the speaker rather than just listening to general observations.

Hashim Syed is the AI Growth and GTM (go-to-market) Lead at Google, where he works on how artificial intelligence moves from experimental concepts to real-world applications. A UK-based technology professional with Pakistani roots, he has previously worked with Microsoft and Meta, giving him a rare inside view of how the world’s biggest tech companies think about AI-driven growth.

Pakistani founders may already know his name. Syed took the stage at the +92Disrupt conference in Karachi in December 2025, where he discussed Google’s role in advancing AI technologies and how the company supports startups through its initiatives. His return to address Pakistani entrepreneurs through Endeavor Pakistan’s platform continues that engagement.

What the session set out to cover

The conversation with Syed was built around what Endeavor Pakistan calls the “new rules of growth” that artificial intelligence is creating for companies of every size. Rather than treating AI as just another software tool, the session was expected to examine how the technology is reshaping the way businesses find customers, deliver products and expand into new markets.

A central theme was how founders should think about AI as they scale. Early-stage companies constantly make choices about tools, hiring and internal processes — and those choices become very difficult to reverse once the business grows. The way a founder frames artificial intelligence at the outset, the session argued, can shape how the entire organisation develops later.

The discussion also promised to address what these shifts mean in practical terms: how the expectations placed on a young company are evolving as AI becomes part of everyday operations. For startup teams still deciding where to begin, hearing how a global technology company thinks about these shifts can clarify which questions deserve attention first — and which can wait.

By focusing on the founder’s perspective rather than on technical detail alone, the series speaks to the decisions leaders actually face when balancing limited time, limited budgets and rising competition.

Why this matters for Pakistani founders

Endeavor Pakistan is part of Endeavor, the global nonprofit organisation that supports high-impact entrepreneurs, and its Pakistan chapter has steadily built platforms connecting local founders with international expertise. Direct access to a practitioner from one of the world’s most influential technology firms is exactly the kind of opportunity that is otherwise hard to come by for early-stage teams.

The timing is significant. Pakistan’s startup ecosystem has been producing notable AI talent and activity — from the country’s largest-ever AI hackathon finale in Islamabad, which drew 300 working AI projects, to growing global partnerships in the tech space. Sessions like this one help founders connect that energy with the practical playbooks of companies operating at global scale.

The open Q&A format mattered too. Instead of a one-way lecture, founders could test their own thinking against an industry insider’s experience — a practical, conversation-driven approach that Endeavor Pakistan has deliberately built into the series.

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape how startups compete, programmes that give Pakistani entrepreneurs a direct line to global expertise will remain a vital part of the ecosystem’s growth.
