iPhone 17 Pro Max Price in Pakistan 2026: Specs, PTA Tax and Full Review
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is Apple’s largest and most expensive smartphone, and by October 2026 it remains the default choice for Pakistani buyers who want the absolute best iPhone money can buy. With a 6.9-inch display, the A19 Pro chip and a battery rated for up to 39 hours of video playback, the iPhone 17 Pro Max sets the benchmark — but its price in Pakistan 2026 reflects heavy import taxes that every buyer should understand before spending.
iPhone 17 Pro Max Specifications and Design
Like its smaller sibling, the flagship moved from titanium to an aluminium unibody with a vapour-chamber cooling system that keeps the A19 Pro chip running at full speed. The 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display supports 1–120Hz adaptive ProMotion, an always-on mode, Dynamic Island and an anti-reflective coating borrowed from Samsung’s playbook.
Performance is class-leading: the A19 Pro with a 6-core GPU and Neural Accelerator powers Apple Intelligence features, hardware-accelerated ray tracing in games and professional video workflows. The device ships with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and, for the first time in an iPhone, a 2TB option for professionals who shoot large ProRes files.
The camera system is a 48MP Pro Fusion triple setup: a 48MP main sensor, 48MP ultra-wide and 48MP telephoto with optical zoom options from 0.5x to 8x. The front camera is a new 18MP Center Stage unit with tap-to-zoom, dual capture and ultra-stable video. Dolby Vision HDR video up to 4K at 120fps is supported, making this the most capable iPhone camera system ever made.
Latest Price in Pakistan
PTA approved units are available through authorised retailers and online stores nationwide. As of 15 October 2026, the price bands in the Pakistani market are roughly Rs. 484,999 to Rs. 564,000 for the 256GB variant, Rs. 574,999 to Rs. 648,500 for 512GB, Rs. 679,999 to Rs. 732,000 for 1TB, and up to Rs. 898,500 for the flagship 2TB variant.
Prices vary from vendor to vendor: retailers such as PakMac list the PTA approved unit around Rs. 566,500, while eezepc and mega.pk run their own promotions. Because the stock is officially PTA approved, no further registration is needed and the phone works immediately with Jazz, Telenor, Zong and Ufone SIM cards, with official Apple warranty included.
PTA Tax and Registration Costs
If you buy a non-PTA or self-imported iPhone 17 Pro Max, the registration tax must be paid through the PTA’s DIRBS system within 60 days of import. The PTA tax on the device ranges from roughly Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 108,000 depending on the storage variant and whether registration is on a CNIC or a passport, with passport holders getting reduced rates.
These taxes explain the dramatic gap between Apple’s US MSRP and the Pakistani retail price — typically 60 percent or more. For most buyers, a PTA approved unit from an authorised retailer is simpler and safer: no DIRBS paperwork, no deadline pressure and genuine warranty support.
Should You Buy It in 2026?
Choose the Max if you want the biggest screen, the longest battery life and maximum storage for photography or video work. For everyone else, the standard iPhone 17 Pro delivers identical cameras and chip performance at a lower price. Value-conscious buyers can also consider the iPhone 17, which now includes a 120Hz display, while Android shoppers should compare the Galaxy S26 before deciding.
