Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Arrives 6 November With New Hajin Warzone Map

The wait is nearly over for Call of Duty fans in Pakistan and beyond. The first season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 goes live on 6 November 2026, and Activision and Infinity Ward have finally lifted the lid on what the update includes — a brand-new Warzone map called Hajin, aerial takedowns, movable cover, and an entirely new DMZ Exclusion Zone. The timing explains why “cod mw4” is climbing Google’s trending searches in Pakistan this week, with players hunting for details ahead of launch day.

Season 1 is the game’s first free content update, arriving exactly two weeks after Modern Warfare 4 launched worldwide on 23 October. The launch trailer for the season, released by Activision and Infinity Ward on 28 October and covered by VGTimes, teases what the developers call an “escalation of the battle” — with full details on every map and mode expected closer to launch.

The headline additions are new multiplayer maps and modes, the mysterious new XO1, and an all-new DMZ Exclusion Zone. The trailer stops short of naming each map or explaining exactly what the XO1 is, so for now players will have to settle for the promise of “much more” — a full content breakdown is likely to land in the days before 6 November.

What is confirmed is that this is a free update, and that Warzone will pull content from the new game while keeping its seasonal progression intact. The Battle Pass and BlackCell also become available inside Modern Warfare 4 with the season’s launch, giving players fresh cosmetics to chase from day one.

Warzone Heads to Hajin — and It’s Free

The biggest talking point is Warzone’s new front line. IGN’s reveal trailer for the Warzone update, published on 2 November, puts the new Hajin map front and centre. It launches on 6 November as part of Season 1, and — crucially for Pakistan’s huge free-to-play community — players can drop into Hajin for free.

Hajin’s headline mechanic is movable cover: players can push heavy bins across exposed ground to create temporary protection, whether reviving a teammate in the open or pushing up on an enemy squad. Aerial takedowns add a flashier way to catch opponents off guard from above. Together with new weapons and new DMZ locations, the trailer frames Hajin as less of a new arena and more of a new way to play.

DMZ Gets a Major Update of Its Own

Extraction-mode players are not left out either. DMZ returned in Modern Warfare 4 at launch, set in the Hajin Exclusion Zone — described as a vast restricted area on the Korean Peninsula created in the aftermath of the campaign’s events — where players deploy solo or in squads to scavenge loot, complete objectives, and make it out alive.

Now Infinity Ward studio head Mark Grigsby has confirmed, in a post from the Call of Duty account on X, that the DMZ extraction mode will be the focus of a major update next week. Combined with the all-new DMZ Exclusion Zone arriving in Season 1, it looks like extraction gameplay is getting its biggest expansion since the mode’s return.

For players worried about their old loadouts, there is good news: operators and weapons from Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7 all carry over, including purchased and earned skins and weapon blueprints.

Last-Gen Consoles Are Left Behind

One change will sting for some players. With Season 1’s launch, Warzone drops support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One — the update is strictly for current-generation hardware and PC.

It is a sign of how demanding the new build has become, and it puts Modern Warfare 4 firmly in the current-generation era. If you have not yet upgraded, now might be the time — because from 6 November, the war moves on without last-gen consoles.
