JazzWorld has won the “Best AI Automation Solution – Asia” award at the Telecom Review Excellence Awards 2026, in recognition of its AI1440 initiative and its collaboration with Huawei on network intelligence. The honour was announced as part of the 20th edition of the awards, which were presented as a wrap-up to the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit held in Dubai.
The award places one of Pakistan’s largest telecom operators among the top AI-driven digital services companies in Asia, and marks a milestone in JazzWorld’s push to turn its networks into what the organisers called an intelligent engine for customer experience, operational excellence and digital growth.
The award: Best AI Automation Solution – Asia
According to Telecom Review Asia, the ‘Best AI Automation Solution – Asia’ award was presented to JazzWorld for setting what the organisers described as a new benchmark in AI-driven telecom transformation — turning fragmented operational data into a smarter engine for customer experience and digital growth. The winners were selected by Telecom Review Group together with an independent panel of judges, and the news was reported on 3 November 2026.

The 20th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit, held on 20–21 October 2026 at the Ritz-Carlton in Dubai under the theme “Tech Intelligence Beyond Mobility”, brought together C-level executives from across the global ICT industry. The Excellence Awards ceremony that closed the summit recognised companies and industry leaders for innovation and influential contributions through 2026, with winners ranked on corporate growth, technological deployment, ICT investment, customer experience, green initiatives and resilience.
Toni Eid, founder of Telecom Review Group and CEO of Trace Media International, said the awards continued the group’s commitment to highlighting the achievements advancing connectivity and accelerating digital transformation across the sector.
Inside AI1440: JazzWorld’s AI-native engine
At the centre of the win is JazzWorld’s AI1440 initiative, which the company describes as a move away from isolated AI tools towards embedding intelligence across its entire operations and digital ecosystem. Instead of simply adding artificial intelligence on top of existing workflows, the initiative aims to rethink the decision-making layer beneath network operations themselves.

The approach gives automation greater context: systems use network intelligence to inform decisions rather than merely responding to predefined triggers. By connecting network information, customer insights and automation, JazzWorld says it can support smarter decisions, more personalised customer experiences and more sustainable digital growth. The company frames the ambition as building a scalable blueprint for what it calls the AI-native ServiceCo of the future — and says the initiative is guided by the DO1440 and AI1440 vision of its parent group, VEON.
Industry observers see the model as significant because it treats artificial intelligence as the operating fabric of the company rather than an add-on layer — a direction several large telecom groups in Asia are now racing to follow.
The Huawei partnership: network intelligence in action
One of the first practical applications of the AI1440 ambition is JazzWorld’s collaboration with Huawei on network intelligence. The partnership focuses on connecting network intelligence with the company’s wider automation framework, so that insights from the network feed directly into operational processes and decision-making.

JazzWorld views the Huawei work as an important step in advancing AI capabilities across telecommunications operations. As the company continues to develop the initiative, the network-intelligence collaboration remains one of its most significant efforts towards intelligent automation — the area of work that the Telecom Review Excellence Awards judges specifically recognised.
The award acknowledges not just the technology but the practical value the company says it is creating through intelligent automation: better-informed decisions in day-to-day network management, and measurable improvements in how the network serves customers.
Why it matters for Pakistan’s telecom future
The recognition lands at a moment when Pakistan’s telecom sector is modernising rapidly. JazzWorld — Jazz’s new brand identity — recently announced a $1 billion investment in its 5G and network expansion, and signed a strategic partnership with Samsung covering Galaxy devices, AI and 5G. The AI award adds an intelligence layer to that physical investment story.

For customers, the promise of the AI-native model is networks that spot problems before subscribers feel them, services personalised to how people actually use their connections, and faster responses when things go wrong. As 5G rolls out across more Pakistani cities, the operators that can run their networks most intelligently will have a decisive edge.
One note for readers following the awards circuit: the Telecom Review Excellence Awards are a separate event from the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards, where Zong picked up four AI honours earlier this year. Pakistan’s operators are now collecting AI recognition on more than one international stage — a sign of how central artificial intelligence has become to the country’s telecom competition.
