Nubia Neo 5 Max Launch in Pakistan: 7.5-Inch “Padphone” Gaming Phone With 7100mAh Battery
It is barely a phone at this point — and that is exactly the idea. ZTE’s nubia Neo 5 Max has appeared on nubia’s official Pakistani website with a “coming soon” tag, and price trackers put its local arrival at October 31, 2026 — today. With a 7.5-inch display, the company is not even calling it a phone in the usual sense: nubia officially brands it the “Padphone”, a device that sits somewhere between a smartphone and a small tablet.
Pakistan’s gaming crowd is getting a device that is unapologetically oversized. Here is what the Neo 5 Max brings, what it will likely cost in Pakistan, and what buyers should keep in mind before rushing to it.
The “Padphone” arrives in Pakistan
The clearest signal of the launch comes from nubia’s own Pakistani website, where the Neo 5 Max is now listed with a “coming soon” label (reported by WhatMobile on October 29, 2026). The site does not name an exact date or a price — but Pakistani price trackers, including MobileDevices, place the local launch on October 31, 2026, which puts it on shelves any moment now.
This is not a flagship RedMagic device. The Neo 5 Max belongs to nubia’s Neo line — mid-range gaming phones that chase value rather than records. It was announced internationally on August 7, 2026, and has already gone on sale in markets like the Philippines, where it launched at PHP 17,999. The European reference price sits around 320 euros.
A 7.5-inch display built for gaming

The headline feature is the screen: a 7.5-inch IPS LCD with 1.5K resolution (1280 x 2772), a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of brightness on adaptive settings. At this size the phone genuinely needs two hands to use comfortably — reviewers describe it as “very close to the fablet category,” which is why nubia leans into the Padphone label.
The display is tuned for play rather than photography-grade colour: fluid motion at 120Hz, high touch sampling, and a big bright panel for long gaming and video sessions. For commuters who watch dramas or play PUBG Mobile on their phones, the size alone is the selling point.
Dimensity 7100 performance and real gaming controls

Under the hood sits the MediaTek Dimensity 7100, a 6nm octa-core chip paired with the Mali-G610 MC2 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM (plus 12GB of extendable memory) and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It is a mid-range chip, but the Neo 5 Max earns its gaming badge through hardware extras rather than raw silicon.
The phone carries two shoulder triggers on its frame with a 990Hz polling rate — proper gaming buttons of the kind usually reserved for expensive gaming phones. A 30,000 mm² vapour-chamber cooling system spreads heat away from the mainboard and battery during long sessions, and the backplate keeps a partially transparent section with RGB lighting for the gamer aesthetic.
7100mAh battery with bypass charging

The second headline number is the battery: a 7100mAh dual-cell unit — among the largest in any phone sold in Pakistan this year. It charges at 45W wired (full in roughly 70 minutes), and it supports bypass charging, which powers the phone directly from the charger during gaming so the battery stays cooler and lasts longer over the years.
Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a side fingerprint reader, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, eSIM and NFC round out the package. It runs Android 16 out of the box. The camera setup is modest for the category — a 50MP main sensor with a 2MP depth helper and a 16MP selfie camera recording 1080p video — which tells you exactly where the budget went: screen, battery, and gaming hardware.
Expected price in Pakistan — and what to watch for
The official Pakistani price has not been confirmed yet. Retailer expectations vary widely: some Pakistani trackers list around Rs 79,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while others suggest figures closer to Rs 99,999. Treat every number as unofficial until nubia announces it.
Three honest caveats before buying: at 245 grams, it is heavier than most phones and will tire a wrist over long sessions; there is no expandable storage; and the 45W charging is modest next to the 80W+ speeds rivals now offer. Also worth remembering: with PTA’s push for locally assembled 5G phones — local plants already assembled over 961,000 5G smartphones — buyers should confirm the Neo 5 Max is PTA-approved before purchase.
Still, for mobile gamers who want the biggest screen, the biggest battery and real trigger buttons without paying flagship money, the Neo 5 Max is the most interesting launch in Pakistan’s mid-range market this month. The Padphone era has officially begun.
