Vivo Y32 5G goes official: what the launch tells us
Vivo has officially taken the wraps off the Vivo Y32 5G, the 5G version of its battery-first Y32, with the phone going official in Nepal on 2 November 2026, according to 91mobiles. The launch fills a gap many buyers will have spotted immediately: the Vivo Y32 4G, which went on sale in Pakistan on 31 October, ships with a Unisoc T7300 chip and no 5G connectivity. The new 5G variant swaps in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 while keeping the headline 8,000mAh battery and the rugged IP69-rated build that defined its sibling.
The timing matters. The Y32 4G became one of Pakistan’s most searched technology stories when pre-orders opened on 26 and 27 October, and “vivo y32 5g” is now among the fastest-rising Google searches in Pakistan. Buyers who were holding out for 5G now have a concrete device to wait for — though Vivo has not yet confirmed whether, or when, the Y32 5G will reach Pakistan.
Vivo Y32 5G specifications and full features

The Vivo Y32 5G is built around a 6.87-inch HD+ LCD display with a 1592 x 720 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and peak outdoor brightness of up to 1,300 nits — the same panel class as the 4G model, and comfortably bright for outdoor use in the Pakistani summer.
Under the hood sits the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable to 2TB via microSD. That chip is the entire point of this variant: the same battery and body as the Y32 4G, but with genuine 5G connectivity and a more efficient modem.
On the camera front, the phone carries a 50-megapixel primary rear camera backed by a 2MP auxiliary sensor, with an 8MP front camera handling selfies and video calls. The device runs OriginOS 6 out of the box — worth noting that this is one step behind the newer OriginOS 7, but in line with the rest of Vivo’s 2026 Y-series lineup.
Durability is a genuine selling point here, not a footnote. The Y32 5G carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification and an SGS five-star drop-resistance rating — rare credentials at this price point, and the same rugged package that made the 4G version stand out.
Vivo Y32 5G battery and charging: the 8,000mAh headline
The biggest number on the spec sheet is the battery. The Vivo Y32 5G packs an 8,000mAh cell — among the largest batteries in any mainstream 2026 smartphone — supported by 44W wired fast charging and 7.5W reverse charging, which lets the phone top up earbuds or another handset in a pinch. Gizbot’s launch coverage highlights the IP69 rating as the other standout feature at this price.
Vivo claims the battery retains at least 80 percent of its original health after 1,500 charge cycles, a figure that translates to several years of typical use before noticeable degradation. For buyers in Pakistan, where long load-shedding hours and heavy navigation use punish small batteries, that endurance story is likely to resonate more than any camera spec.
Vivo Y32 5G price in Nepal and what it could cost in Pakistan

In Nepal, where the phone is already official, the Vivo Y32 5G starts at NPR 39,999 (roughly INR 25,000) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 6GB + 128GB model costs NPR 45,999, while the top-end 6GB + 256GB configuration is priced at NPR 52,999. It is available in Sunset Orange and Twilight Red.
No Pakistan price has been announced, and Vivo has not confirmed a launch date for the country. But the Nepal pricing gives us a useful anchor: at converted prices, the Y32 5G sits comfortably below the Rs 82,999 starting price of the Y32 4G in Pakistan. Expect a Pakistan launch to land somewhere in the mid-range bracket — and if you want the Y-series look and battery right now, our Vivo Y32 price-in-Pakistan guide covers the 4G model already on sale.
One caveat: Vivo’s own website listing, which appeared before the Nepal announcement, showed only a single 6GB + 128GB configuration in Dawn Gold and Midnight Black with no price and no sale date — so treat the colour and variant list above as the Nepal launch configuration, which may differ when and if the phone reaches Pakistan.
What the Vivo Y32 5G launch means for buyers in Pakistan
The strategy is transparent: Vivo is splitting the Y32 into a 4G model for price-sensitive buyers and a 5G model for everyone else, without redesigning the phone. If you bought the Y32 4G in the 26–27 October pre-order window, you got the cheaper phone; if 5G matters to you — and with Pakistani operators expanding 5G coverage through 2026, it increasingly does — the Y32 5G is the one to watch.
The honest comparison is with its own sibling rather than rivals. The Y32 5G is the Y32 4G with 5G: same 8,000mAh battery, same 44W charging, same IP69 build, same 50MP camera, same display. The decision comes down to whether the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 5G connectivity justify the inevitable price premium over the Rs 82,999 4G model.
