BAYAAN headline the closing night
BAYAAN are one of Lahore’s best-loved alternative rock bands, and tonight they bring their live show to an open park rather than a closed hall. The five-member band — Asfar Hussain, Haider Abbas, Mansoor Lashari, Shahrukh Aslam and Muqueet Shahzad — first won wide attention through Nescafe Basement and went on to win the third season of Pepsi Battle of the Bands in 2018. Their following has grown on emotional lyrics, an experimental sound and thoughtful videos, and songs such as “Nahin Milta”, “Din Dhalay” and “Sapna” are the ones crowds sing back word for word at live shows. Hearing those songs under the open sky, with the band feeding off a park crowd, is a very different experience from an indoor concert — and it is the main reason tonight’s closing set is the festival’s biggest draw.

The venue sits in a well-connected part of the city, close to the Ring Road and the Main Boulevard corridor, which makes it practical for visitors coming from Gulberg, Cantt, Johar Town, Bedian Road and Askari as well as DHA itself. Dolmen Mall and the Broadway commercial area are nearby for a meal or some shopping before the show. Event days in a residential park get busy, so plan the route in advance and leave early; carpooling or a ride-hailing service is the easiest way to avoid parking stress, and drivers should expect diversions near the park. November evenings in Lahore turn cool, so light layers and comfortable shoes for standing and walking are worth packing, along with a CNIC, a charged phone and some cash.

Buy only from the official channel. Resellers and social-media sellers are best avoided, since duplicate and fake tickets are a common problem around popular concerts.
