Pakistan’s premium electric car market is about to get a lot more interesting. Nishat Group, one of the country’s largest and most established business groups, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with LUXEED, the premium new-energy vehicle brand created jointly by Chery and Huawei. The memorandum of understanding, signed in Wuhu, China on 18 October 2026, opens the door for LUXEED to enter Pakistan — but readers should be clear about one thing from the start: this is an MoU, a cooperation step, not a confirmed launch. No model, price, launch date or local assembly plan for Pakistan has been announced yet.
That said, the deal is a significant signal. LUXEED is not just another Chinese EV badge — it is Huawei’s deep entry into the car world, and its arrival would bring some of the most advanced smart-cockpit and intelligent-driving technology in the industry to Pakistani roads. Here is what the agreement covers, what LUXEED actually is, and what it could mean for the country’s fast-moving electric vehicle market.
What the Nishat Group and LUXEED agreement covers
The strategic cooperation agreement was signed in Wuhu, China, with the backing of Chery Group. Under the agreement, Nishat Group and LUXEED International will combine their strengths and resources to introduce the LUXEED brand in Pakistan and advance the country’s new energy mobility ecosystem through technology integration and local synergy.
Three days after the signing, LUXEED held its global brand launch event in Wuhu on 21 October 2026. Pakistan is emerging as one of LUXEED’s early overseas markets — the brand signed its first overseas dealer agreement in 2026 with the UAE-based Omeir Bin Youssef Group, with a formal UAE market entry planned for 2027. Pakistan is therefore among the first overseas markets outside China on LUXEED’s map.
What is LUXEED? The Chery and Huawei premium EV brand

LUXEED is a premium electric and new-energy vehicle brand jointly created by Chery and Huawei, and it operates under Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, or HIMA. The partnership is deliberately split by strength: Chery handles vehicle development, manufacturing and engineering, while Huawei contributes its software, smart-cockpit systems and intelligent-driving technology.
The brand launched in China in 2023 with the S7 electric sedan, its first model, and has since expanded into a four-model premium lineup. Backing it is the Chery Group, which has ranked first in China’s brand passenger-vehicle exports for 23 consecutive years and has cumulative global sales of more than 20 million units.
For Pakistan, the Huawei angle is the real headline: HIMA vehicles are effectively computers on wheels, with HarmonyOS cockpits and advanced driver-assistance systems. If LUXEED arrives here, it would introduce a level of in-car technology that local buyers have not seen from existing premium EVs.
The four LUXEED models Pakistani buyers are watching

The brand’s Chinese lineup previews the possibilities:
- LUXEED S7 — the premium electric sedan that started it all, built on an 800V electrical architecture with a claimed CLTC range of up to 855 km in some versions.
- LUXEED R7 — a coupe-style SUV offered in both battery-electric and range-extended (REEV) versions, with claimed range up to around 800 km.
- LUXEED V9 — a large seven-seat luxury MPV with an extended-range powertrain and more than 1,200 km of claimed combined range in some versions.
- LUXEED RX — the newest addition, a conventional sporty premium SUV styled under designer Werner Gruber, launched in China in 2026 from around 259,800 yuan (roughly $36,000), with up to around 852 km of claimed CLTC range.
All of these are Chinese-market claims, not Pakistan specifications — duties, taxes and local regulations would shape any final offering. But Pakistan’s premium EV market is already leaning heavily towards SUVs, so the R7 and RX look like the most natural candidates for a local launch if one materialises.
Why Nishat Group’s NexGen Auto track record matters

Nishat Group is not new to the auto game. Through its NexGen Auto venture, the group brought OMODA and JAECOO to Pakistan in August 2025, backed by a reported investment of USD 100 million and local assembly operations in Faisalabad. It later added iCAUR to the portfolio — all Chery-backed brands, which explains why the LUXEED relationship was a natural next step.
Nishat’s stated aim is to build not just a product lineup but a premium new-energy mobility ecosystem covering products, services and after-sales support, something Pakistani EV buyers have repeatedly demanded. What is not confirmed yet — and what to watch

According to the official announcements and detailed reporting on the deal, the following have not been announced: which LUXEED model comes first, the launch date, pricing, warranty terms, battery support plans, the service network, charging solutions or whether the vehicles will arrive as fully built imports or move towards local assembly later.
Buyers should not pay any booking amount on the strength of an MoU alone — wait for Nishat Group’s official word on the model, price, warranty and delivery plan. And Pakistan’s upper-end Chinese EV segment has become significantly more competitive during 2026: the AVATR 07 is now priced at Rs 2 crore to Rs 2.2 crore, the larger AVATR 11 at Rs 2.7 crore to Rs 2.9 crore, with the XPeng G6 and Zeekr 7X also in the mix. Wherever LUXEED lands on price, it will face serious rivals.
The bigger picture is harder to argue with: with NexGen Auto’s assembly base, Chery’s manufacturing muscle and Huawei’s software, Pakistan could soon have a genuinely world-class premium EV on its roads. The next announcement to watch is simple — which model Nishat chooses, and at what price. Until then, the LUXEED story in Pakistan is a promising beginning, not a done deal.
