Saba Qamar 2026: Dramas, Movies and Latest News
Saba Qamar 2026 has been a year of back-to-back powerhouse performances, with the actress headlining Hum TV’s psychological thriller Muamma and Geo’s Case No. 9 while announcing a slate of upcoming projects. Widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s finest actors, she continues to choose roles that challenge both herself and her audience. This guide covers her biography, her 2026 dramas and the latest news about Saba Qamar in 2026.
Saba Qamar 2026: Biography and Career
She made her television debut in the early 2000s and rose to prominence with Dastaan (2010), Maat (2011) and Pani Jaisa Piyar. Her portrayal of the fearless social media star in Baaghi (2017), inspired by the life of Qandeel Baloch, won her the Lux Style Award for best actress and remains one of Pakistani television’s most talked-about performances. She made her Bollywood debut opposite the late Irrfan Khan in Hindi Medium (2017), a critical and commercial success, and has delivered acclaimed performances in Cheekh, Manto, Mrs. & Mr. Shameem and Fraud.
What makes Saba Qamar 2026 remarkable is the sheer range on display: a psychologically complex anti-heroine, a survivor seeking justice and an abused wife — all in the same season. Few actors in the industry attempt even one such demanding role a year, let alone three, and critics have noted that her choices continue to push the boundaries of what mainstream Pakistani television attempts.
Dramas in 2026
The standout of Saba Qamar 2026 is Muamma, Hum TV’s psychological suspense drama written by Imran Nazir, directed by Shaqielle Khan and produced by Momina Duraid Productions. She plays Jahan Ara (Jiji), the enigmatic owner of an old house whose tenants carry secrets and trauma — a layered role that keeps viewers guessing whether she is protector, manipulator or victim. The drama premiered in late 2025 and ran into 2026, earning her widespread praise for its intensity. Alongside it, she starred in Case No. 9, playing a rape survivor in a performance critics called one of her bravest, and in Pamaal as an emotionally abused wife — three contrasting roles running almost simultaneously, a feat few actors could manage.
Latest News in 2026
At her first-ever UK meet and greet in London on 18 September 2026, she confirmed that Muamma 2 is in the works, teasing that her character Jiji may still be alive. She also announced her next project, Case No. 10, written by Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Danish Nawaz, in which she will reportedly play Pinky (also known as Anmol), a character described as a drug dealer — another bold departure. With both projects in the pipeline, the Saba Qamar 2026 run looks set to extend well into 2027, keeping one of the industry’s most fearless performers firmly in the spotlight.
