Pakistan vs India Tickets 2026: Prices and How to Buy
Pakistan vs India tickets are the most sought-after seats in world cricket, and the 2026 edition of the rivalry gave fans a dramatic story both on and off the field. The two sides met on February 15, 2026, at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo during the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, and the ticketing saga was almost as eventful as the cricket itself.
The match very nearly did not happen at all. The Pakistan government initially barred the national team from taking the field against India, which led the ICC to halt ticket sales for the fixture. After high-level negotiations, including an ICC delegation’s visit to Pakistan, the decision was reversed and the game went ahead as scheduled, as reported in February 2026.
Pakistan vs India Tickets: Prices and Booking
When sales resumed, demand for Pakistan vs India tickets was extraordinary. The second phase of ticket sales opened on January 14, 2026, and fans rushed to BookMyShow, the ICC’s official ticketing partner, in such numbers that the platform crashed within minutes. Tens of thousands of users hit the site at once, causing long queues, failed transactions and repeated logouts.
Official prices started remarkably low for a fixture of this magnitude. Entry-level tickets were priced at LKR 1,500 — roughly Rs. 1,364 or about USD 12 — arguably the lowest starting price ever offered for an India-Pakistan World Cup match. Standard stands ranged from LKR 2,000 to 4,500, premium sections started above LKR 10,000, and hospitality packages were priced higher. In India, prices started from around Rs. 100 for the cheapest categories.
How to buy Pakistan vs India match tickets
For ICC events, the only safe way to buy pakistan vs india tickets is through the official portal at tickets.cricketworldcup.com, which redirects to the ICC’s ticketing partner for the event. Buyers could purchase up to four tickets per person using UPI, debit or credit cards and net banking.
Sri Lanka Cricket also sold tickets at designated counters in Colombo, but it issued a clear advisory before the match: the fixture was completely sold out, and fans were told not to visit ticket counters for the India-Pakistan game. Resale sites listed inflated prices — reportedly ranging from around 72 to 500 euros for similar seats — but the ICC and SLC consistently warn against unofficial sellers.
The 2026 match and the rivalry record
Both teams arrived at the February 15 clash unbeaten in Group A. Pakistan had beaten the Netherlands and the USA, while India had defeated the USA and Namibia. Historically, India dominated the T20I rivalry: 13 wins to Pakistan’s 3 across 16 T20 Internationals, and a 7-1 lead in T20 World Cup meetings, with Pakistan’s only World Cup win over India coming in Dubai in 2021.
The 35,000-capacity R. Premadasa Stadium filled fast for the blockbuster, and the fixture once again underlined why this is cricket’s biggest rivalry — no other match in the tournament generated anything close to the same ticketing demand.
Tips for future Pakistan vs India tickets
Register on the ICC ticketing portal well before sales open and keep your payment details saved. Buy only from the official portal or the named ticketing partner — never from social media resellers or unknown websites, where fake tickets are common. Expect the cheapest categories to sell out within minutes, so be online the moment the sale window opens.
