Matric Result 2026: Date, Timing and How to Check
The matric result 2026 was announced by the Punjab boards on 6 August 2026 at 10:00 AM, when all nine boards released the 10th class (SSC Part II) annual examination results simultaneously. It combines the marks of the 9th and 10th classes for a total of 1100 marks, and it is the result that opens the door to college admissions across Pakistan. Students can check it online by roll number, by SMS, by name, or through the official result gazette.
In Pakistan, “matric” refers to the Secondary School Certificate, which comprises the 9th class (SSC Part I) and 10th class (SSC Part II). Because students ask about matric in both years, this guide covers the full picture: the 2026 announcement details, the four checking methods for every board, and the next steps after your result is out.
Matric Result 2026: Date and Timing
The SSC annual result for the 2026 session followed the common calendar of the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen. The 10th class result was announced on 6 August 2026 at 10:00 AM by BISE Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sahiwal. The 9th class result followed on 2 September 2026 at 10:00 AM. Position holders for the 10th class were honoured on 5 August 2026, the evening before the main announcement.
Each part of the matric examination carries 550 marks, giving the combined result a total of 1100 marks. Students appeared in the science, computer science and general (arts) groups. The matric second annual (supplementary) examination papers started on 6 October 2026, with that result expected on 8 December 2026. How to Check Your Result
Checking your result takes only a few minutes if you use the official channels. The online method is the most popular: visit your board’s official website, open the Results section, select the SSC Annual Result 2026, enter your roll number carefully and click search. Your complete result card with subject-wise marks appears on screen, ready to be saved or printed.
The SMS method is the most reliable backup when websites slow down on result morning. Type your roll number and send it to your board’s code: Lahore 800291, Gujranwala 800299, Faisalabad 800240, Rawalpindi 800296, Multan 800293, Sargodha 800290, DG Khan 800295, Bahawalpur 800298 and Sahiwal 800292. The board replies automatically, and your network charges the standard SMS rate. Students who have lost their roll number slip can use the name search option on several board portals, and the official gazette PDF lets schools and parents check many results at once. Our complete tutorial on how to check result online walks through all four methods step by step.
Life After Matric
Your matric marks decide which intermediate group a student can choose. High achievers opt for FSc Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering, while others choose ICS, ICom or FA in colleges of their choice. College admissions open within days of the announcement, so students should keep their result printout, photographs and other documents ready.
Students who failed in one or two subjects do not need to repeat the year; they can appear in the second annual examinations. Rechecking of papers is also available for those who believe their marking was unfair, and applications must be submitted within the deadline announced by the board. The online result card is provisional, with original documents issued through schools later. Result news was also covered by Regional Studies and TechJuice, but your final authority is always the official board website or gazette.

Frequently Asked Questions: Matric Result 2026
The matric result 2026 is the most anticipated academic announcement of the year for hundreds of thousands of Pakistani students. The matric result 2026 date is typically in July, with all BISE boards announcing within days of each other and position holders honoured the evening before.
How to Check Your Result
Matric result check online is done through your board’s official website by entering your roll number — results usually go live at 10 AM on announcement day. The matric result by sms method (sending your roll number to the board’s code) works when websites crash under traffic. Schools also receive gazettes listing all students’ results.
Timing, Rechecking and Supplementary Exams
Results are generally announced in the morning, with ceremonies for position holders held separately. Students can apply for rechecking within the stipulated period, and the matric supplementary exam 2026 — held a few months later — offers a second chance to clear failed subjects without losing an academic year. Whatever your matric result, remember it is a milestone, not a verdict: college admissions consider your best path forward, and improvement exams exist precisely because boards know students deserve another shot.
Understanding Your Result Card
Your matric result card shows subject-wise marks, total marks, percentage and division. Science students need strong marks for pre-medical and pre-engineering college merit lists, while computer science, commerce and arts streams have their own merit thresholds. If any subject shows an unexpected result, the rechecking window is short — decide quickly and apply through your board’s prescribed procedure.
Planning After Matric
The weeks after the matric result 2026 date are decision time: choose your intermediate stream based on aptitude rather than peer pressure, research colleges early, and apply to several institutions. Whether you check via matric result check online or matric result by sms, what matters most is the plan you build next — and the matric supplementary exam 2026 ensures that even a setback is only temporary.
