Zong Wins Gold at Dragons of Asia Awards 2026 for AI-Powered 5G Campaign

Pakistan’s leading technology services enterprise Zong has won Gold in Creative Excellence at the Zong Dragons of Asia 2026 ceremony in Kuala Lumpur for its AI-powered 5G launch campaign, marking a major international honour for a Pakistani brand.

The Gold at the Zong Dragons of Asia 2026 awards adds to the company’s successful run at the Dragons of Pakistan Awards earlier this year, and places Zong’s creative work among the region’s best in marketing and communications. The Kuala Lumpur ceremony recognised the operator’s flagship campaign AIsa Hai Future, which fuses artificial intelligence, augmented intelligence and Pakistani creativity to present a distinctive vision of the country’s digital future.

According to the company, the campaign uses a customer-focused brand narrative to explore the possibilities of 5G and AI, and reflects Zong’s evolving identity as a technology-focused digital brand. Zong said the Zong Dragons of Asia 2026 recognition demonstrates how Pakistani brands can win regional honours by pairing a clear brand purpose with a deep understanding of their audiences.

“AIsa Hai Future”: the campaign that won Gold

The winning entry, AIsa Hai Future — a play on AI and the Urdu phrase for “the future is like this” — blended artificial and augmented intelligence with Pakistani creativity, reimagining the nation’s digital future through a distinctive, customer-focused brand narrative.

The Zong Dragons of Asia 2026-winning campaign set out to move beyond conventional telecom advertising. Instead of selling speeds and packages, it told a story about what 5G and AI could mean for ordinary Pakistanis — education, business, healthcare and everyday life — wrapped in a narrative rooted in local culture and aspirations.

Zong’s approach combines technology, innovation and data-led insights to create more relevant customer experiences. The company says the Gold at the Zong Dragons of Asia 2026 ceremony validates a strategy built on creative storytelling, consumer education and simplified communication around emerging technologies.

“A proud moment for Zong”: Hina Ali on the win

Commenting on the achievement, Hina Ali, Head of Marketing Communication at Zong, called winning Gold in Creative Excellence at the Dragons of Asia Awards a proud moment for the company:

“Winning Gold in Creative Excellence at the Dragons of Asia Awards is a proud moment for Zong. We believe great creativity begins with understanding people: what matters to them, what resonates with them, and how our brand proposition can become meaningful in their lives. With AIsa Hai Future, we set out to move beyond conventional telecom advertising and tell a story that brings together the possibilities of 5G and AI with the creativity and aspirations of Pakistan. This recognition reinforces our belief that when technology, insight, and a distinctive brand idea come together, the result is a communication that truly stands apart.”

From Dragons of Pakistan to Dragons of Asia

The Zong Dragons of Asia 2026 Gold follows the brand’s strong showing at the Dragons of Pakistan Awards earlier this year, completing a domestic-to-regional awards run for the same 5G campaign platform.

Industry coverage of the Kuala Lumpur ceremony reports that Zong’s total haul ran to five awards — including two Golds, a Bronze and two Black Dragon Awards — across its ‘5G Launch’ and ‘AIsa Hai Future’ campaigns, alongside further recognition for its ‘Zong My5 2025’ and ‘Pro Max Hattrick’ campaigns, according to marketing publication Synergyzer.

The same coverage notes Zong emerged as the only telecom operator to win Gold for its 5G campaigns at this year’s Dragons of Asia, underlining how the operator has turned its 5G launch into a sustained brand platform rather than a one-off announcement.

Zong’s 5G push and the Digital Pakistan vision

The award-winning campaign sits on top of years of 5G groundwork. Backed by the global scale, technology leadership and innovation capabilities of China Mobile — one of the world’s leading telecommunications and technology companies — Zong launched its 5G journey with a stated purpose: to show what 5G could mean for Pakistan beyond faster speeds.

Under the ‘Aisa Hai Future’ tagline, the company has positioned 5G as an enabler of a smarter, more connected and digitally empowered future, using creative storytelling and consumer education to make the benefits of 5G relatable to everyday audiences. The Zong Dragons of Asia 2026 recognition is, in that sense, an award for making complex technology feel personal.

Zong says it continues to invest in 5G, AI and next-generation products and services as part of its vision for a connected, inclusive and future-ready Digital Pakistan — a national ambition the award-winning campaign was explicitly built to support.
