Danish Taimoor Dramas List: Best Roles and Where to Watch

The danish taimoor dramas catalogue belongs to television’s most famous antihero specialist. Danish Taimoor — a Karachi-born former fashion model with an MBA from Karachi University — began acting in 2005 and found his signature in brooding, obsessive characters that audiences love to hate. Married to actress Ayeza Khan since 2014, with whom he has two children, he has also produced serials and hosted the game show Aisay Chalay Ga since 2019. As of October 2026, his biggest serials remain rating juggernauts. Here they are, ranked.

Danish Taimoor Dramas: Deewangi and Sultan Durrani

The defining entry in his filmography is Deewangi (2019–20), where he played Sultan Durrani — a rich, powerful man whose obsession with Nageen (Hiba Bukhari) destroys them both. The Geo Entertainment serial was a phenomenon, and his performance won the Lux Style Award for Best Male Actor. Sultan Durrani became the template for the modern Pakistani television antihero.

Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi: Shamsher the Obsessive

He doubled down with Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi (2022) as Shamsher, the arrogant son of a business tycoon who falls madly for the middle-class Mehak (Dur-e-Fishan Saleem). The ARY Digital romantic thriller was one of the year’s biggest hits and cemented his reputation — for better or worse — as the master of the obsessive lover. Among all danish taimoor dramas, this is the one that sparked the fiercest debates about toxic masculinity on screen. Readers can explore his co-star in our Dur-e-Fishan Saleem profile.

Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai and Ishq Hai

The antihero run actually began with Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai (2018–19), the serial that first showcased his darker avatar, and continued with Ishq Hai (2021). Earlier, Rehaai (2013) had already marked him as one to watch. These serials form a clear arc — from promising newcomer to the industry’s most bankable intense leading man. According to his Wikipedia biography, he has been active on television since 2005, far longer than most of his contemporaries.

Nashtar: The 2026 Serial

His 2026 serial Nashtar opposite Anmol Baloch is the newest entry in the danish taimoor dramas list — see our Nashtar drama guide for the full cast and story. Beyond acting, he produced Shehrnaz (2016) starring his wife Ayeza, made his film debut in the thriller Jalaibee (2015), and remains one of the few actors who successfully juggle acting, producing and hosting. As Something Haute’s analysis of his Shamsher character argues, his performances force audiences to confront uncomfortable questions.

The Antihero Formula: Why It Works

Why do the danish taimoor dramas built around obsessive characters keep succeeding? Part of it is conviction — he plays men like Sultan Durrani and Shamsher without winking at the audience, which makes them magnetic even when they are monstrous. Part of it is chemistry: his pairings with Hiba Bukhari and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem generated enormous social-media conversation. And part of it is timing — as Pakistani dramas moved toward darker, more intense storytelling in the late 2010s, he was already the actor best equipped to deliver it.

Early Career Before the Fame

Long before the antihero era, his early credits included Mystery Series (2005) on Indus Vision, Mari Behen Maya, Manchaaly, Jab We Wed and Sari Bhool Humari Thi. These formative years — more than a decade of steady television work before Deewangi made him a superstar — explain the polish of his later performances. Few leading men in the industry today have logged as many screen hours before their breakthrough.
